Modern apps answer “are we compatible?” with a percentage, outer planets, and a composite chart. Traditional astrologers asked a different question: what are the marriage significators in each nativity, and how do the sources disagree? This free calculator names the 7th-house lords (when a birth time exists), Venus by sign, reception between the charts, Lilly temperament, and the sect of both nativities.

Three methods, not one merged answer
Dorotheus names Venus for the wife of a male native and Mars (and Jupiter) for the husband of a female native; the 7th and its lord co-signify. Ptolemy reads conjugal unions from the Moon for men and the Sun for women and does not use the 7th place for that judgment. Lilly names the 7th house, its lord, and any planet posited in the 7th, with Venus as a marriage significator. This page prints all three. It does not assign husband or wife to either form, and it does not silently average them.
Reception follows the engine already used for natal work: Lilly treats reception as mutual presence in each other's dignity (Christian Astrology p. 112); Bonatti's strict mode also admits one-way reception at score 3 or more. Both are shown. Temperament is Lilly's humoral tally. Sect is Ptolemy I.7 for each nativity.

Questions
What is a two-nativity judgment in traditional astrology?
A comparison of marriage significators in two genitures. Dorotheus, Ptolemy, and Lilly do not agree on which bodies to use. The honest product is to name those significators and the disagreement.
Do I need a birth time?
Yes for sect and for the 7th house from the Ascendant. Without a time you still get Venus by sign and a partial Lilly temperament from Moon, phase, and season. Noon is not treated as a day chart.
Is this a synastry percentage?
No. There is no score, no composite, and no psychological matching copy.
